1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Zen-Tavo (the "Application"), a cutting-edge budget and transaction management tool created and operated by Zen-Tavo S.A. ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using this Application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms outline the rights and responsibilities of both you and Zen-Tavo in relation to the use of the Application. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should immediately cease using the Application. Continued use of the Application signifies your acceptance of these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
Zen-Tavo offers a suite of features designed to help users manage their finances effectively, providing tools for organizing accounts, overseeing transactions, and planning budgets. The core services provided by Zen-Tavo include:
Allows users to create, manage, and track financial accounts such as checking, savings, and credit accounts, including monitoring their balances.
Users can categorize, edit, and link financial transactions to their budgets, giving them an organized view of their financial activities.
Enables users to create and monitor personalized budgets, helping them stay on track with their financial goals.
Automates the extraction of financial data from emails, reducing the need for manual data entry and improving accuracy.
Automatically categorizes transactions, providing insights into spending patterns, account balances, and budget alignment.
Lets users add and manage attachments, providing additional context to their transactions.
Provides users with insights into their transaction trends, account balances, and budget performance through detailed reports.
4. Data Privacy and Security
At Zen-Tavo, we prioritize your privacy and the security of your personal data. We adhere to industry-standard practices for data protection and employ advanced security measures to protect your information. The Application does not sell or share any personal data to third parties for financial gain. Transactional information, excluding personally identifiable information (PII), may be used to enhance AI-driven responses through the use of language models (LLMs) to improve service functionality. Zen-Tavo takes necessary steps to safeguard data from unauthorized access, but users are also responsible for the security of their accounts and the actions carried out within them. In the event of unauthorized access, users must notify Zen-Tavo immediately, and Zen-Tavo may take actions to restrict or terminate access if necessary.
5. User Accounts and Eligibility
To access and use the features of Zen-Tavo, users must:
- Be of legal age to use financial management tools in their jurisdiction. Users under the age of 18 may use the Application with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- Register an account using accurate, current, and complete information.
- Safeguard their login credentials and immediately inform Zen-Tavo of any unauthorized access or security concerns.
6. User Conduct and Acceptable Use
By using Zen-Tavo, you agree to:
- Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Refrain from sharing harmful, offensive, or illegal content through the Application.
- Not engage in any activities that could disrupt, damage, or interfere with the operation of the Application, including reverse-engineering, tampering, or unauthorized access.

Zen-Tavo retains full ownership of all intellectual property associated with the Application, including its software, design, branding, logos, and content. Users are not permitted to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative works from the Application without prior written consent from Zen-Tavo. Violations of intellectual property rights may result in legal action.

Zen-Tavo integrates with third-party services such as Google Cloud and OpenAI to provide certain features and functionalities. While we carefully select these partners for their reliability, Zen-Tavo is not responsible for any issues, inaccuracies, or interruptions caused by these external services. By using the Application, users acknowledge and accept that Zen-Tavo is dependent on these third-party services.
9. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers
The Application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any guarantees of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or absolute accuracy of information. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Zen-Tavo disclaims all liability for any damages or losses arising from the use of the Application. Users assume full responsibility for any risks associated with their use of the Application. Zen-Tavo's liability is limited to the amount paid for the service, if any, and excludes any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.
10. Modifications to the Terms and Services
Zen-Tavo may revise these Terms at any time to reflect changes in its services, practices, or legal obligations. We will notify users of any significant changes via email or in-app notifications. Continued use of the Application after any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Zen-Tavo also reserves the right to modify or discontinue specific features, including limiting access for free or paid users, as part of ongoing service enhancements.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes or claims arising out of or related to the use of Zen-Tavo shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the applicable rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, ensuring a fair and efficient resolution process. Users agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Costa Rica courts for matters that cannot be resolved through arbitration.
