Welcome to Zen-Tavo (the "Application"), a cutting-edge budget and transaction management tool created and operated by Zen-Tavo S.A. ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using this Application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms outline the rights and responsibilities of both you and Zen-Tavo in relation to the use of the Application. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should immediately cease using the Application. Continued use of the Application signifies your acceptance of these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
Zen-Tavo offers a suite of features designed to help users manage their finances effectively, providing tools for overseeing transactions and planning budgets. The core services provided by Zen-Tavo include:
Users can categorize, edit, search, and navigate their financial transactions with inline editing, month-by-month navigation, and multi-currency support, giving them an organized view of their financial activities.
Enables users to create and monitor personalized budgets with period scoping and multiple categories, helping them stay on track with their financial goals.
AI-powered interpretation of financial data from forwarded emails that improves accuracy over time. Note: The accuracy of automated data interpretation is subject to various factors including, but not limited to, email formatting, document quality, and clarity of financial information. Zen-Tavo makes no warranty regarding the complete accuracy of automated interpretation and users remain responsible for reviewing and verifying all interpreted data.
Automatically categorizes transactions, providing insights into spending patterns and budget alignment.
Lets users add and manage receipts and documents, providing additional context to their transactions.
Provides users with insights into their expenses, income, year summaries, charts, and exchange rates through a comprehensive dashboard and detailed reports.
Supports transactions in multiple currencies with automatic exchange rate conversion, allowing users to manage finances across different currencies.
Allows users to export their transaction data in CSV format for external analysis and record-keeping.
Users can permanently delete their account and all associated data at any time, in compliance with GDPR right to erasure.
Zen-Tavo reserves the right to modify or limit access to certain features at its sole discretion, including restricting some features to premium or paid users.
3. Payment Processing and Subscriptions
Zen-Tavo+ premium subscriptions are processed through our authorized payment processor's secure platform. Zen-Tavo does not store or process any payment information on its servers. New users receive a 30-day free trial of Zen-Tavo+ upon registration. By subscribing to Zen-Tavo+, you acknowledge and agree that: - All payment processing is handled by our authorized payment processor, and Zen-Tavo has no access to your payment details. - Any payment disputes, fraudulent charges, or refund requests must be handled through the payment processor. - Zen-Tavo bears no responsibility for fraudulent transactions or unauthorized charges as these transactions are processed entirely through the payment processor's system. - Users are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date payment information in their payment account.
4. Data Privacy and Security
At Zen-Tavo, we prioritize your privacy and the security of your personal data. We adhere to industry-standard practices for data protection and employ advanced security measures to protect your information. The Application does not sell or share any personal data to third parties for financial gain. All AI-powered features (email interpretation, categorization) use Google Cloud services, specifically Vertex AI on Google Cloud Platform. User data stays within Google's enterprise cloud ecosystem. Under Vertex AI's enterprise terms, Google does not use prompts or responses to train its models. No financial data is sent to third-party AI providers outside of Google Cloud. Zen-Tavo takes necessary steps to safeguard data from unauthorized access, but users are also responsible for the security of their accounts and the actions carried out within them. In the event of unauthorized access, users must notify Zen-Tavo immediately, and Zen-Tavo may take actions to restrict or terminate access if necessary.
5. User Accounts and Eligibility
To access and use the features of Zen-Tavo, users must:
- Be of legal age to use financial management tools in their jurisdiction. Users under the age of 18 may use the Application with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- Register an account using accurate, current, and complete information.
- Safeguard their login credentials and immediately inform Zen-Tavo of any unauthorized access or security concerns.
Zen-Tavo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that fail to meet these eligibility requirements or that engage in unauthorized use.
6. User Conduct and Acceptable Use
By using Zen-Tavo, you agree to:
- Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Refrain from sharing harmful, offensive, or illegal content through the Application.
- Not engage in any activities that could disrupt, damage, or interfere with the operation of the Application, including reverse-engineering, tampering, or unauthorized access.
Zen-Tavo has the right to suspend or terminate user accounts for violations of these Terms, including misuse of the platform or activities that harm the integrity of the service.
7. Intellectual Property
Zen-Tavo retains full ownership of all intellectual property associated with the Application, including its software, design, branding, logos, and content. Users are not permitted to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative works from the Application without prior written consent from Zen-Tavo. Violations of intellectual property rights may result in legal action.
8. Third-Party Integrations and Content
Zen-Tavo integrates with Google Cloud for infrastructure and AI-powered features, providing a single-ecosystem approach to data processing. All AI services (email interpretation, categorization) run on Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform under enterprise terms. While we carefully select our infrastructure partners for their reliability and security, Zen-Tavo is not responsible for any issues, inaccuracies, or interruptions caused by these external services. By using the Application, users acknowledge and accept that Zen-Tavo is dependent on these third-party services.
9. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers
The Application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any guarantees of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or absolute accuracy of information. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Zen-Tavo disclaims all liability for any damages or losses arising from the use of the Application. Users assume full responsibility for any risks associated with their use of the Application. Zen-Tavo's liability is limited to the amount paid for the service, if any, and excludes any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.
10. Modifications to the Terms and Services
Zen-Tavo may revise these Terms at any time to reflect changes in its services, practices, or legal obligations. We will notify users of any significant changes via email or in-app notifications. Continued use of the Application after any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Zen-Tavo also reserves the right to modify or discontinue specific features, including limiting access for free or paid users, as part of ongoing service enhancements.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes or claims arising out of or related to the use of Zen-Tavo shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the applicable rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, ensuring a fair and efficient resolution process. Users agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Costa Rica courts for matters that cannot be resolved through arbitration.
